TAKING OUR PUBLIC ACCESS AWAY
WE'LL HAVE NO ELECTRONIC SOAPBOX WHEN THEY FINALLY TAKE PUBLIC ACCESS TV AWAY FROM COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY SO WE CAN'T GET ELECTRONIC TORTURE FACTS AND STORIES ABOUT OUR BEING TORTURED OUT TO THE PUBLIC. THIS FITS WITH THE BUSH AGENDA/ADMINISTRATION TO QUASH ALL FREEDOM OF SPEECH, WARNING THE PUBLIC AND TELLING OUR COMMUNITIES HOW THEY TORTURE US AT HOME, USING HIGH-TECH TORTURE METHODOLOGIES! SUCH AS MY HEAD-YANKING VIDEOS I PRODUCE ON CABLE TV. THIS WILL BE REMOVED IF WE DO NOT STAND TOGETHER TO STOP THE MADNESS!! DEMAND PUBLIC ACCESS TV BE SAVED FOR THE PUBLIC'S USE -- NOT USED FOR BUILDING TIME WARNER AND COMCAST'S COFFERS SO THEY CONTROL WHETHER WE GET OUR FREEDOM'S UPHELD! We need to expose our courts for how they decide cases as well, via PUBLIC ACCESS TV, AS WELL AS TORTURE!! WRITE THE FCC! HELP US SAVE PUBLIC ACCESS TV!!

Subject: Fwd: [Saveaccess] SaveAccess Alert - Write the FCC
Dear saveaccess supporter,
WRITE THE FCC TODAY! On Thursday the FCC will vote to hand over control of the majority of U.S. cable households to Comcast and Time Warner. We need to send a final message to the FCC Commissioners to tell them to either stop the sale of Adelphia Cable to these two companies or attach public interest conditions to the deal. Your help today is critical. Go to:

And pass this email on to others!
UPDATES ON saveaccess.org CAMPAIGNS:
S.2686 - U.S. Senate Telecom Bill UPDATE
Thanks to your support, over 10,000 letters to Senators were sent out in the two and half weeks prior to the Senate Commerce Committee vote on the Senate Bill S.2686. We thank you for your efforts! Partly as a result, good PEG provisions were included in the bill and a much needed LPFM amendment was also added. However, we still can't support this bill since its red-lining and net neutrality provisions are unacceptable.
Last week, Senator Stevens renamed S.2686 to HR.5252. This legislative maneuver will fast track the Bill and eliminate the need for it to be reviewed in the House before proceeding to conference committee. The Bill still needs to pass in the full Senate to move forward and Stevens needs 60 supporters just to get it introduced to the floor (there are 55 Republicans, 44 Democrats and one Independent in the Senate). If you received any feedback from your emails and calls to your Senators - let us know where they stand. We need to ensure that this legislation doesn't reach the Senate floor. Write us at: info@saveaccess.org!
We are formulating a new Senate campaign strategy given these new developments and will alert you when we have new letters to send.
HR.5252 COPE - U.S. House Telecom UPDATE We are still running our "Spank Your Rep" letter writing campaign. This allows you to send letters only to your Representatives that voted FOR the COPE Bill in the House of Representatives. Though Stevens' recent fast-track maneuver renders the full House membership powerless, we still feel it's important to let your representatives know when they votes were ill-informed.
TELL US HOW WE'RE DOING Finally, tell us if the saveaccess.org site is useful to you. What areas can we improve, what information do you need most? As always - write us at info@saveaccess.org.
Thanks!
